Chief and Council
Sliammon membership grants power to an elected Chief and Council, which form the political arm of the Sliammon First Nation, to govern the land and property of the membership. Chief and Council deal with governance and policy issues. Supported by the administrative function, the Chief and Council’s responsibilities include program and service delivery, financial management, policy development, and planning and control systems. They negotiate with the federal government and work to increase federal funding and bring new money and programs into the community. The Chief and Council are legally recognized as the leaders of the government on behalf of the members.

Sliammon Chief and Council is elected every two years, but is currently in the development of a custom election code. The most recent election occurred in September 2010. Sliammon Chief and Council are listed below:
